Shipping policy
We take great care in the packing and shipment of artwork to ensure it arrives safely and in excellent condition. Due to the unique nature of fine art—including value, fragility, size, and insurance requirements—shipping costs and methods may vary by piece.
All orders are processed and shipped from our location in the United States unless otherwise stated.
Handling & Packing Fees
All artwork is subject to a standard handling and packing fee, which is separate from shipping and insurance costs.
Handling fees cover:
-
Professional art packing materials
-
Protective wrapping and stabilization
-
Labor for safe preparation of artwork
-
Administrative processing and coordination
Standard handling fees:
-
Works on paper, small framed pieces, or small objects: $25–$75
-
Medium framed works or sculptures: $75–$150
-
Large, fragile, or high-value works: $150+
Handling fees are non-refundable once packing has begun.
Shipping Costs & Quotes
For many smaller artworks, shipping is calculated at checkout based on standard carrier rates.
However, certain pieces require a custom shipping quote due to:
-
Artwork value
-
Dimensions or weight
-
Fragility
-
Crating requirements
-
Destination (domestic or international)
-
Insurance requirements
For these specified pieces:
-
A separate shipping invoice or quote will be issued after purchase
-
This shipping cost is in addition to the amount paid at checkout
-
Shipment will proceed only after the quoted shipping cost is approved and paid
We reserve the right to adjust shipping methods if needed to ensure safe delivery.
Insurance
All shipped artwork is fully insured for its sale value unless otherwise stated.
Insurance costs are:
-
Based on the value of the artwork
-
Included in the quoted shipping cost or charged separately where applicable
Once the artwork has been marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the buyer.
Delivery & Transit Times
-
Standard shipping timelines vary by carrier and destination
-
Transit times do not include handling, packing, or crating preparation
-
Large or complex shipments may require additional preparation time
We are not responsible for carrier delays caused by weather, customs, or other circumstances beyond our control.
International Shipping
International shipments may be subject to:
-
Customs duties
-
Import taxes
-
Brokerage fees
-
Delays during customs clearance
These fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in shipping or handling charges.
Condition, Inspection & Claims
Buyers are responsible for:
-
Inspecting the artwork immediately upon delivery
-
Noting any visible damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt
Any damage claims must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery and must include photographic documentation of:
-
Exterior packaging
-
Interior packing materials
-
The artwork itself
Failure to follow these steps may void insurance coverage.
